First Goal : Dimitar Berbatov returns to his old haunt, White Hart Lane, on Saturday evening and we are taking the Man Utd striker to open the scoring against his former club at 5/1

weekend soccer
Martin Rogan and Emmanuel Adebayor provided the Guide with two 4/1 winners to keep us just ahead of the bookmaker last weekend.
Our PG quad looked good at around 4.40 last weekend, then two late, late goals at Southampton and Newcastle thwarted the bet.
Back to the drawing board with two weeks left to get the Christmas cash in.
Punters GUIDE FIVE-HIT
We start with our odds-on FIVE-HIT and the first live game of the weekend. We have taken ARSENAL (8/11) to take all points at Middlesboro in Saturday’s lunchtime game.
Hopefully that will start the ball rolling and we move to the Championship for our next two selections.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4/6) are in great form at present and should collect at home to Doncaster.
READING (8/15) are another team who are playing at the top of their game at the moment and their pursuit of Birmingham and Wolves can continue with a win at home to Norwich.
LEEDS (4/6) have been wobbling of late but should get back on track with a win at home to Colchester.
Making this week’s five-hit up are HIBS (4/6) who can follow up that Celtic win with another victory at home to Hamilton who were hit for seven by Rangers last week.
Punters GUIDE XXX
On to the draws and we start in the Premiership. FULHAM are proving a difficult team to beat and we are banking on Hodgson’s team to take a point at Stoke.
Another team who can’t stop drawing are BRISTOL CITY, nine already this season – we hope it’s ten on Saturday when they visit SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY.
We end our XXX with the late kick-off in the Premiership when Man Utd pay a visit to White Hart Lane to to take on a rejuvenated Spurs team. We expect a hard-fought draw here for the champions.
All the above draws priced at 12/5. The rest is up to you, don’t forget those doubles.
Punters GUIDE QUAD
MAN CITY (5/4) start this week’s quad at home to Everton who have all their strikers out injured – three points looks the bet for Mark Hughes and his team.
WIGAN (1/1) could take advantage of Blackburn’s awful current form and bag the three points that could see Paul Ince leave Ewood Park.
BIRMINGHAM (11/8) are the form team in the Championship and Alex McLeish’s team can grab maximum points at Preston.
Making the quad up are MILLWALL (13/8) who are flying and currently second in the table – we are banking on the Lions to take all points at Walsall.

horse racing

A CRACKING weekend of top-notch racing ahead and yours truly will be in Dublin for the office Christmas Party – so a few winners is vital to pay for the expensive drink in the Temple Bar district.
Let’s shoot off with the Boylesports Gold Cup (2.30) where the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Imperial Commander bids for his second Gold Cup after hacking up in the Paddy Power equivalent back in November.
The well-beaten runner-up that day, Barber’s Shop, has since franked the form and the 9/4 on offer, although short for this kind of race, looks a good punt.
The each-way punt of the race for us is Irish raider FINGERONTHE PULSE who was last seen chasing home Noland at Down Royal – if he jumps round he will be there or thereabouts.
Sean Graham Bet: Imperial Commander 9/4, Silverburn 11/2, Finger On The Pulse 12/1, Possol 12/1, Three Mirrors 12/1, My Petra 14/1, Big Bucks 20/1, L’Antartique 20/1, Notable D’Estruval 20/1, Nozic 20/1, Private Be 20/1, Sky’s The Limit 20/1, Battlecry 25/1, Exotic Dancer 25/1, Lord Henry 25/1, Maljimar 25/1, Oslot 25/1, Ring The Boss 25/1, Scotsirish 25/1, Abragante 33/1.
The Boylesports.com International Hurdle (3.05) looks the Champion Hurdle trial of the season so for and what a mouthwatering race it is.
Champion Hurdle ante-post favourite Binocular, as expected, leads the betting market for Saturday’s big race at 7/4.
I’m looking elsewhere and I have sided with reigning champ KATCHIT who has had two prep runs this season and will be primed for this come Saturday. He absolutely loves it round Cheltenham and 7/2 looks better value than the favourite. Each-way bet for the race has to be bridle horse Harchibald (10/1) who also knows his way round Cheltenham.
Sean Graham Bet: 7-4 Binocular, 3-1 Chomba Womba, 7-2 Katchit, 4-1 Crack Away Jack, 10-1 Harchibald, Celestial Halo, 14-1 River Liane, 16-1 Solwhit, 25-1 Khyber Kim, Serabad, 50-1 Won In The Dark.
Another few Saturday selections: Starluck (12.15), Punchestown (1.10), Buck The Legend (1.55) and Diamond Harry (3.35). If they win I’ll be staying in Dublin.

weekend bets

Local punters took the PG advice last week and lumped on Martin Rogan to beat Audley Harrison.
He was as big as 4/1 with Sean Grahams and punters took full adavantage of that fat price.
Layers report heavy losses on the fight – one local guy staked a grand on the Springfield fighter.
We have stayed quiet on the reality TV betting – until now, that is. Eoghan Quigg has made the final of The X-Factor and yours truly backed him at 7/2 last week. Eoghan is now as short as 5/2 to win the final on Saturday so for the sake of my bet – vote Eoghan.
The Christmas No.1 betting is now as good as void with The X-Factor winner always guaranteed the top spot, so in effect they’re betting without the favourite.
Leona Lewis leads the betting on 10/11. We are putting two up against her.
First is the Peter Kaye character Geraldine McQueen, who’s a cracking 5/1 bet to get that second spot.
Boyzone are another ex-boyband who have made a comeback and their new single, Better, is probably their best to date and the 33/1 on offer could turn out to be the value bet of the year.

Well done to the BRIGHT SPARKS who won the Sean Graham PG Cup 2008 - the sparks hit a winning quad that paid around 4/1 (had a free £25 bet on it) - the printers buckled under pressure but receive £100 worth of Graham vouchers while the Sparks grab £200 worth.
Blogger P.R Donnelly (aka Stable Boy) won over £400 with a free Sean Graham £25 bet!

I noticed that too. The one in Castle street does yet the one in Andytown doesn't. Also, the one in Andytown uses different football coupons than the one in Castle St. and it doesn't allow you to pick a bonus ball for the Irish lotto.
Strange!!

STEAMER ALERT....

1.55 Ayr - MOSCOW CATCH

Backed from 11/4 into 15/8 fav. Making it's hurdling debut today but against some other decent horses. The money is down so somebody fancies this one. I actually fancy the top weight in the race, CALIN ROYAL, from the Howard Johnson stable @ 5/1.

I've backed the first 2 winners at Ayr. I had £20 on the first winner at 4/1 who got up on the line.
I then did a £10 double of Quicuyo who was the luckiest winner so far. Tried to make all but Mohayer joined him at the last with a double handful only needing to jump to win but he fell and that left my boy well clear. I'm waiting on Calin Royal for the double.

David Haye has confirmed that he will fight Vitali Klitchko in London in June of next year.
It was thought that Haye would fight Wladimir, Vitali's brother, but the deal has been struck to fight Vitali.

I'm looking forward to this fight. I like David Haye and so long as he can take the punches I feel that there are very few out there that will beat him.

Rumour also has it that a super fight is being lined up between Manny Paquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. That is one fight I would love to see!!

Gamble landed at Ayr. Moscow Catch won the 1.55 but Calin Royal was very unlucky. He fell at the last when upsides the eventual winner.

I suppose that makes my luck pretty even after Qucayuo's win in the 2nd race.

Yet to look at todays racing but will have a little treble on football/greyhounds tonight.

Shrewsbury 6/5
Blythe Spartans 9/4
Droopys Quinta (9.45 Wimbledon)5/2

Honestly don't know an awful lot about Greyhounds but my uncle owns & races a few & has a keen interest. I have followed him by backing Droopys Quinta ante-post for the Oaks this evening, have bits on at 16/1, 14/1, 12/1, 8/1. Runs £5000 approx all in for me personally, my uncle will be looking at 3 times that!

Liam,Haye will be giving away about 30lb in weight and four-and-a-half inches in height to the WBC heavyweight champion from Ukraine. Perhaps more important, Vitali has never been knocked down.

No wonder Haye's trainer Adam Booth was so keen on little brother Wladimir. An inch shorter than Vitali and 10lb lighter, Wladimir has also been knocked out three times and sent to the canvas many times more.

i think he has picked the wrong brother to fight.

Dolly Dev the man who has come with the bet that can't lose proves his critics wrong and has this to say via-email!

Its would be easier to find Dermy a girl than it is to find your blogspot
Anyway since you told us about that bet where you cannot lose by picking a team and backing them to draw and keep doubling the stake if you lose, I put an IMAGINARY tenner on Celtic, after 12 straight wins and one defeat they eventually drew 1-1 with Hearts last week. I had already lost an IMAGINARY £81,910 and had to put on another IMAGINARY £81,920 bringing my total outlay to an IMAGINARY £163,830. Celtic drew at 3/1 winning me an IMAGINARY £327,680 less my stakes leaving me an IMAGINARY £163,850 richer in just over 3 months. Its working out at over an IMAGINARY 10 Grand a week

SAM ALLERDYCE HAS BEEN APPOINTED BLACKBURN ROVERS NEW MANAGER!!

Aston Villa have left Ashley Young, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Gareth Barry, James Milner and Martin Laursen at home for their trip to Germany. Martin O'Neill said in his press conference that he "cares not a jot" whether they win the group or not whereas Martin Jol said that he wants to finish top. Taking all of the above into account the 5/6 about Hamburg looks VERY tasty.
