Expect goals in Rome

Champions League final night and what a game is in store with the two best footballing teams in Europe squaring up to each other at The Stadio Olimpico in Rome - the pitch is massive and will suit both these teams and we at the PG expect a lot of goals come Wednesday night.
The Man Utd fans I have talked too over the last week are a wee bit too confident about the final and why not they are the holders but they are judging Barca on the Chelsea games - BIG mistake in my opinion. Barcelona played against a well drilled Chelsea team in those semi-finals and will find more space against Utd. Messi is the leading scorer in the CL this year with (8) and if he turns up in the Stadio Olimpico then Utd will have problems.
Man Utd will hope to take advantage of the Barca's depleted defence and the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo will get chances that's for sure so on to our expected line-ups tomorrow night.
Man Utd: Van De Saar, O'Shea, Ferdindad,Vidic, Evra, Park, Scholes, Carrick, Anderson, Rooney and Ronaldo
Barcelona: Valdes, Kieta, Toure, Pique, Puyol, Inestia, Xavi, Busquets, Henry Messi and Eto'o
On to our bets for Wednesday night: Both teams to win 3-2 (30/1) Both teams to win on penalties (9/1) First Goal: Inestia 12/1, Rooney 6/1 - man of the match Xavi 10/1 - First player booked Scholes: 8/1

Gordon Strachan stepped down as Celtic boss on Monday - so who next for the Celts, Owen Coyle would be great for all fans but he should stay with Burnley in the Premiership. Tony Mowbray is 6/4 with layers but Swansea gaffer Roberto Martinez for me would be a ideal candidate - he has Swansea playing good football on a shoestring budget and is big as 33/1 for the job.

Tuesday Nag: Larkham (3.00 Leicester) 9/1

sorry to disappoint you mackers but the reason i havent paid up any bets all season is because
1.i 'mouthed off' once and offered a guy a bet which iv won and
2.i am not liam,no disrespect to liam

iv been on this blog maybe 3 times at the most, excluding this, and think its reasonable to ask for this since i was prepared to fork out £900 if chinned. I aint gonna lose any sleep over it but i wasnt the one mouthing off, i never do, i leave that to the dicks and wanna-bes. All i offered was a wager

ha ha ha, world player of the year?????? messi AND iniesta were head and shoulders above the show pony. How many league goals has ronaldo scored away from home this season? none. how many league goals has messi scored away fom home? 25. enuf said. utd men shud take it on the chin but no, they have to ridicule other teams rather than be gracious in defeat. And they wonder why everyone hates them?

IM A UNITED MAN AND AGREE THAT WE WER BEAT BY THE BETTER TEAM ON THE NIGHT, AND A LOT OF UNITED PLAYERS HAVE SAID THAT.
INIESTA AND XAVI WERE PURE CLASS
NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY IT BUT WE MISSED FLETCHER IN THERE.

WE CAN STILL CONSOLE OURSELVES BEING CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND AND CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD.

LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR ALREADY

PS ITS SAD WHEN A UNITED DEFEAT IS ALL THE SCOUSERS HAVE TO CELEBRATE
