IRISH RAIDER Oodachee looks golden weekend bet

It was a case of third time lucky for the PG in the Nationals after we tipped up weekend Scottish Grand National winner Hello Bud last weekend.
Any punters backing it last Thursday would have got 33/1 – it was well backed after stable jockey Paddy Brennan was given the mount.
Hello Bud started the day at 16s and was eventually backed down to 12s – hope you were on at whatever price.
We have the bet365 Gold Cup (3.10 Sandown, Saturday) and we are looking for our third consecutive winner in the race after tipping up HOT WELD (9/1) in 2007 and MONKERHOSTIN (25/1) last year, so the hat-trick is on and so too is the pressure.
Twenty-three horses remain engaged for the three mile five furlong handicap chase, which traditionally brings down the curtain on the National Hunt season, and after some thought we have narrowed it down to two horses.
The Charlie Swan-trained OODACHEE (16/1) has been a model of consistency this season running second behind Irish Raptor at Aintree and he ran well in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup at Cheltenham. The step-up in distance will suit him and expect a big run from him on Saturday.
ROLL ALONG (16/1) has the best form in the race – he finished sixth behind Kauto Star in the Gold Cup. He shoulders top weight on Saturday and could well defy that with a big run on Saturday.
Sean Graham Bet: Hoo La Baloo (6), Lacdoudal (15/2), Church Island (12), According To John (14), Bowleaze (14), Gone To Lunch (14), Always Waining (16), Erics Charm (16) , Hennessy (16), Kilbeggan Blade (16), Oodachee (16), Roll Along (16), Laskari (18), New Little Bric (18), Briery Fox (20), Darkness (20), Golden Flight (25), Oscar Park (25), Pretty Star (25), Zacharova (25).
The Punchestown Festival kicks off this Tuesday and we will keep you up to date with tips, free bets, debate and results on the PG Blog throughout the festival, so log on at http://thepuntersguide.blogspot.com next week.

ST JOHN’S camóg Danielle Clarke visited my favourite racecourse, Naas, at the weekend and came away from the Co Kildare track with a few quid in her purse.
Danielle would be the first to tell you that she hasn’t got a clue about horses and picked her selections based on the names. She placed her bet of 4 x 50p trebles and a £1 quad (outlay £3) with Paddy Power prior to racing and she wisely took early prices.
First up was Pilgrim Dancer (10/3) in the 3.50 who held off all comers to win, and 30 minutes later Danielle had two up when Inxile hacked up at 3/1.
She already had money back off her docket when Fol Hollow won by a head at 5/2 and the sweat was on for her last selection. It was to be Danielle’s day when the Nicholls father/son combination that served her well in the earlier two races made it a hat-trick with JoSEph Henry who bolted up at 7/1.
Danielle picked up just over £1300 for her troubles – a great piece of punting. You should be in this seat, Danielle.

Just got a tip via e-mail for a horse called RIEN A PERDRE in the 7.35 at Newtown Abbot. It is the 15/8 fav but apparently it is a "penalty kick" to win tonight!!

I really fancy FIRENZA BONG (12/1) in the 4.10 at Wolverhampton today. The race could be set up for him.
