IPSWICH (6/4) LOOK BIG FA CUP BET

The PG was back in the winners enclosure last weekend when our Fivehit came in at odds of 7/1.
The Rochdale game was called off with our other four selections winning, so another fruitful weekend for our readers.
Sean Grahams have cut Arsenal to 7/2 for the Premiership and as went to press the Gunners were looking to go top by beating Bolton for the second time in three days.
Chelsea remain the 8/11 favourites for the title with the local firm and champions Man Utd are 11/4 after their 3-0 win over Burnley.
In the SPL Rangers are now 2/5 favourites to win the league after they went NINE points clear when misfiring Celtic failed to beat Falkirk at home.
Pressure is already mounting on Tony Mowbray and the Bhoys are as big as 2/1 to regain the title.

PUNTERS GUIDE QUAD

It’s FA Cup fourth round action this weekend and that’s were we start with the PG Quad.
We begin with our weekend quad and as our weekend knocker we have opted for a very much in-form IPSWICH (6/4) team to grab a place in the fifth round draw.
Roy Keane’s team are playing well at the moment and travel to St Mary’s in good heart to take on League One Southampton who have also been playing well of late. But we think the Championship side look too strong for the Saints.
EVERTON (1/1) at last have hit a wee bit of form with a draw at Arsenal and then taking Man City apart at the weekend and we think that trend can continue with a win over red-hot Birmingham at Goodison Park.
Back to the nitty-gritty stuff in the Championship and we are taking one more chance on ‘bookies’ team’ MIDDLESBORO (11/10) who should make home form count against Swansea.
Making the PG Quad up at the weekend are BLACKPOOL (1/1) who have gone off the boil in recent weeks but should beat bad travellers Watford.

PG FIVEHIT

On to the weekend Fivehit as we try and follow up on last week’s modest success.
We start in League One and first team down are BRISTOL ROVERS (10/11) who entertain leaky Hartlepool and three points look on the cards for the home team.
WIGAN (8/13) travel up to Notts County and look too strong for the League Two team.
FULHAM (8/13) travel to League One Gillingham and Roy Hodgson’s team should make Sunday’s fifth round draw.
INVERNESS (5/6) dumped SPL outfit Motherwell out of the cup on Monday night and should take care of business against basement club Airdrie Utd.
Making the odds-on fivehit up are in-form BURY (4/6) who are chasing their third win in a week and can get it at home to Hereford.

PG XXX

On to the draw treble, folks, and the first X down this week is at the Hawthorns where West Brom and NEWCASTLE battle it out for the second time in six days, and like Monday night’s game, this looks to be heading for a replay.
READING, who took care of Liverpool in the last round, take on Premiership outfit BURNLEY and it’s hard to pick a winner here, so another X is the choice.
SUNDERLAND travel to Fratton Park to take on PORTSMOUTH and again it’s one of those games which is hard to call and the draw looks the easy way out.

UPSETS?

So where will the cup upsets be at the weekend?
Cash-strapped CRYSTAL PALACE (7/2) could upset Premiership team Wolves who could make a lot of changes with Premiership survival their main aim.
SHEFFIELD UTD (7/2) travel to Bolton who, like Wolves, could rest a few for this one and the Championship side could cause a surprise.

PG GOALRUSH

Three from five last week, so looking for a better performance in our goal rush bet this time round.
So take both sides to score in the following Scottish games folks...
Motherwell v St Mirren, Partick v Dunfermline, Queen of South v Dundee, Clyde v Brechin and we finish with Dumbarton against Cowenbeath.

Friday NAG: Brackenmoss 1.50 Catterick.
