TAXI FOR THE CITYBUS PUNTERS?

Before we go this weekends PG Cup games a wee thing caught the eye in the Sean Graham ad this week on last weekends results.
If you had of backed this quad
Brighton 1/1
Bristol Rovers 11/8
Swindon 7/4
Brazil 12/5
with Sean Grahams you would have picked up £487.54 the same quad paid paid £362.88 with Ladbrokes over 120 less than Grahams - you know where I'm doing my punting this weekend.
PG CUP
THE qualifiers are over and we are down to brass tacks – the last 16 for the 2009 Sean Graham-sponsored PG Cup.
Squinter’s makeshift team was the most impressive with three good-priced winners to easily see off Antrim Golfers and they now face the Glenhill crew.
The Bru Crew took the Short-Strand doormen apart and are rewarded with a last 16 challenge against last year’s beaten finalists the BMG Printers.
The Royal Boys eased by the Spitting Cobras and face the Boucher Bankers while the Boys From the Black Stuff beat Hoys Toys in a photo finish after both teams grabbed three winners each. The Hoys treble worked out at 9/2 while Black Stuff punters’ quad worked out at 5/1 and they will now face 2007 winners the DVLNI punters.
BRIGHT SPARKS  v
BOMBARDIER HOTSHOTS
On to this weekend’s games and we have last season’s winners, punting duo the BRIGHT SPARKS, taking on Joe Campbell’s new-look Bombardier Hotshots.
Champions Eric Savage and Diddler Johnston firmly believe that they can be the first betting outfit to retain the PG Cup.
They delivered when it mattered last year and Eric told the Guide that they will pick up where they left off last year with a winning quad.
Joe ‘Random’ Campbell has re-invented Short Certs in the hope that a change of name will bring a change of luck. Desperation?
They are now the Bombardier Hotshots and the scalp of the champions would be a great start, a beaming Joe told us this week. “I have changed a few faces this year and have brought in Sean ‘Snake Eyes’ Prenter, Gerard ‘The Toe’ Toman and ‘Dangerous Doc’, North Belfast’s bravest £1 a go punter.”
BRIGHT SPARKS: Charlton 8/13, West Brom 2/5, Chelsea 2/5, Huddersfield 8/11.
BOMBARDIER HOTSHOTS: Arsenal 6/4, Man Utd 5/4, West Brom 2/5, Middlesboro 8/11.
STEWARTSTOWN SUPREMOS  v
CITYBUS DUO

2006 winners the Lisburn Punters now go under the name Citybus Duo, but it’s the same old punters.
Mark ‘Two Lanes’ Mallon and Eamon ‘Virtual’ McCullough have already made a few visits to the winner’s enclosure this season and have high hopes for this year’s competition.
A confident Eamon told us that he expects a winning quad this weekend to see off the new boys and he has urged fellow busmen to back the quad at the weekend if they want to make a few quid.
The Stewartstown Supremos are a new team to grace these pages, and after carefully watching from the sidelines, the taxi-men think they have what it takes to lift this year’s betting crown. The four guys – Tim, Bing, Glenn and Hugh – all work for the same taxi depot and won’t release their surnames because of ‘wife’ reasons .
They have had a lot of near misses this year and stats man Hugh thinks they will peak this weekend and it will be a case of Taxi for Citybus! come the weekend.
STEWARTSTOWN SUPREMOS: Chelsea 2/5, Leeds 11/10, Sheffield Utd 13/8, Charlton 8/11.
CITYBUS DUO: Everton (draw) 2/1, Dagenham 11/10, Bristol Rovers 10/11, Sunderland 5/6.
Rest of Draw:-
Stormont Four v Freezer Geezers (19th September, Team News 14th September, Selections 15th September 1.00pm)
BCC Legal Eagles v Dairy Farm All-Stars (19th September, Team News 14th September, Selections 15th September 1.00pm)
The Boys From the Black Stuff v DVLNI (26th September, Team News 21st September, Selections 22nd September 1.00pm)
Royal Boys v Boucher Bankers (26th September, Team News 21st September, Selections 22nd September 1.00pm)
Squinter Loves Trevor v Glenhill Counter Boys (3rd October, Team News 28th September, Selections 29th September 1.00pm)
The Bru Crew v BMG Printers (3rd October, 28th September, Selections 29th September 1.00pm)
Rules: If you fail to get your selections in on time, you will face elimination from the competition. We have back-up teams ready to take your place if such an event rises.
Remember, it’s not the amount of winners you get on the board, it’s all down to the prices your winners amount to. This means you could pick a winning quad and still go out of the competition.
Thursday NAG: Take Ten around 14/1 in the 3.10 at Donny

a4e more than likely ronaldo or messi will not be playing in the world cup

1 good player does not make a team which is why portugal and the argies are struggling.
