SEA THE STARS ALL SET TO ECLIPSE NASHWAN – AGAIN

Taking it easy this week before Royal Ascot and like the look of NAMIR tonight in the 7.50 race at HAYDOCK... if he gets the run of the race he will take some stopping 7/1 at the moment!
DEVASTATING is the only way to describe Saturday’s Derby winner Sea he Stars’ performance.
I have to admit that trainer John Oxx put me off the colt when asked in an interview last week would he see out the distance? He replied there was a 50-50 chance – so even this brilliant trainer had his doubts.
With three furlongs left he was was coasting with every other horse under pressure, and I would love to see him turn up at the Curragh for the Irish Derby at end of the month
He is quoted at 5/4 by the sponsors to emulate Nashwan and add the Coral-Eclipse to his roll of honour.
Oxx has admitted that he is leaning towards running his colt in the Irish Derby but the Sandown race is an option. He had this to say. “The Irish Derby is the obvious next race for him but he's dependant on goodish ground and the weather here has been bad for two-and-a-half years,” said the trainer.
“If he didn't run there because of the ground he'd probably run in the Eclipse. I see him as a horse for the top mile and a quarter races like the Eclipse, the Juddmonte International, the Irish Champion Stakes and the Champion Stakes at Newmarket.”
We have Royal Ascot starting next Tuesday (June 16) and we have looked through some of the big races and hopefully come up with a winner or two in the opening two days.
Royal Ascot (Tuesday)
We start with the five-furlong King Stand Stakes (3.05) and the one to beat in this one is Henry Candy’s progressive sprinter AMOUR PROPRE who hacked up in the Palace House Stakes at the start of May and wiill take some catching on Tuesday.
We like the look of the David Wachman trained BUSHRANGER (each-way) who is dropped back in distance – he finished second in the Windsor Castle Stakes at the Royal meeting last year and is currently a 25/1 shot.
Sean Graham Bet: Amour Propre (9/2), Scenic Blast (6), Fleeting Spirit (7), Borderlescott (12), Tax Free (12), Kingsgate Native (16), Ialysos (20), Bushranger (25), Anglezarke (33), 40/1 bar.
If MASTERCRAFTSMAN turns up in the St James Palace Stakes the Irish 2000 Gunieas winner will take some stopping with Delegator the chief danger.
Sean Graham Bet: Mastercraftsman (5/4), Delegator (7/2), Evasive (7) , Naaqoos (10/1) , Shaweel (16). 20/1 bar.
The Richard Hannon-trained Monsieur Chevalier looks the one to beat in the Coventry Stakes as he bids for the fifth consecutive win of his career and in those four wins he has taken some notable scalps.
His main danger could be stablemate Canford Cliffs who hacked up at Newbury in his only start and it will be interesting to see what horse Richard Hughes rides. The main Irish hope is STEINBECK who won well at Naas on his debut and hails from at the all-conquering O’Brien stable.
Sean Graham Bet: Canford Cliffs (7/2), Steinbeck (4), Monsieur Chevalier (6), No Hubris (14), Air Chief Marshal (16), Red Jazz (16), Walkingonthemoon (16), Alrasm (20), Love Lockdown (20), Radiohead (20) 25/1 bar.
Royal Ascot (WEDNESDAY)
The ROYAL HUNT CUP on Wednesday is always one of the hardest races in the flat calendar to work out but Luca Cumani could hold the key in this handicap with RIGGINS who gets a 8/1 quotation.
Sean Graham Bet: Forgotten Voice (6), Riggins (8), Cadre (12), Roaring Forte (12), Tryst (14), Axiom (20), Charm School (25), Dockofthebay (25), Dunno (25), Huzzah (25), Khateeb (25), Lovelace (25), Mias Boy (25), Military Power (25), Nanton (25), Philario (25) 33/1 bar.
The Tom Dascombe-trained Don’t Tell Mary looks something special judged on his first two wins and will take some catching in the Queen Mary. Clive Brittain’s MISHEER is the each-way pick at 10/1 after her gutsy York win
Sean Graham Bet: Don’t Tell Mary (9/2), Capercaillie (8), Lady Of The Desert (10), Misheer (10), Rose Blossom (10), Ceedwell (12), Aalsmeer (16), Crown (16), Jealous Again (16), High Spice (20), Habaayib (25), Kurtanella (25) 33/1 bar
TARTAN BEARER looks the Wednesday nap at Ascot in the Prince Of Wales Stakes.
Last year’s Derby second won on his seasonal appearance, outbattling Pipedreamer in the Bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown and he will take some stopping with PIPEDREAMER a live outside bet at 10/1.
Sean Graham Bet: Tartan Bearer (11/4), Vision D’Etat (7/2), Gladiatorus (6), Never On Sunday (7), Kirklees (10), Cima De Triomphe (11), Pipedreamer (10), Doctor Fremantle (10), Tazeez (14) , Presvis (16), Virtual (16), 20/1 bar.
We will be back next week with a review of Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You can also follow the PG daily blog and tips at our blog site http://thepuntersguide.blogspot.com

Big Rogie has been granted a re-match with Sexton in September back at the Odyessy. Rogan's trainer Martin Breen has confirmed that contracts have been drawn up and the date which is TBC will be either 11th or 19th September.

Rogie v Sexton re-match.....

Also, Kevin 'Sweet Pea' O'Hara fights in Glasgow next Friday against the very talented Ricky Burns. I think this fight will be pretty straight forward for Burns and I predict a 5th Round stoppage in this potential 8 round fight.
