CUP FINAL day on Saturday and we have David Moyes ever-improving Everton side squaring up to Guus Hiddink’s Chelsea at Wembley.
Sean Grahams price the Toffees as their 7/2 outsiders and Chelsea as their warm 4/6 favourites and it’s 9/4 the draw in 90 minutes. Chelsea are 1/2 to win outright with Everton priced at 7/4.
Hopefully, come Saturday there will be goals between the sides after two goalless draws this season in the Premiership
Stats
The sides’ most recent FA Cup encounter came in the fourth round in 2006 when the Blues prevailed 4-1 in a replay at Stamford Bridge after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Goodison.
One vital stat that is against the Toffees is that they have failed to beat Chelsea in 22 attempts in all competitions. This is their longest winless streak against any current Premier League team.
A more quirky stat against David Moyes team is that in the past four seasons the side that have knocked Middlesbrough out of the FA Cup went on to be runners-up. Everton knocked out Boro this year – 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
One stat that is in their favour, however, is that this is the first time Everton have made it past the quarter-finals since they won the trophy back in 1995, defeating Manchester United at Wembley thanks to a Paul Rideout goal.
Everton have had a great season, finishing fifth in the Premiership and reaching this final, and under David Moyes they are such a difficult team to beat.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have under-achieved this year by their own high standards and will looking to end it with a trophy in the cabinet come Saturday.
I for one will not be jumping in and backing Chelsea at odds-on in this and I actually think Everton are a great bet at 4/1. For me, Tim Cahill is a good bet to open the scoring at 9/1 and he’s 2/1 to score at any time, which looks a good value bet.
FA CUP BETS
So our FA Cup bets for Saturday. Everton 4/1 (90 minutes); Everton to win 2-1 (14/1); Tim Cahill to score first goal (9/1); Phil Neville to be Man of the Match (14/1).

SCOTTISH CUP FINAL
The Scottish Cup final also takes place on Saturday and Rangers have been put in at 1/7 by Sean Grahams to lift the cup on Saturday afternoon. Falkirk are as big as 11/1 in 90 minutes and 7/1 to win it outright.
I can’t foresee a shock in this one as the ’Gers close in on the double. RANGERS to win 3-1 (10/1) and KRIS BOYD to open the scoring at 7/2 are our selections at Hampden Park.
Small-stake punters will be lumping on the outside Falkirk/Everton ‘mug’s double’ which pays around 50/1.
Coyle backed for Celtic hot seat
Gordon Strachan stepped down as Celtic boss on Monday – so who next for the Celts?
Owen Coyle would be a great addition and it’s a move that would be welcomed by many a Celtic fan. He should stay with Burnley in the Premiership but, as always, money talks.
The betting for the hot seat has already seen three different market leaders in just three days and probably by the time you read this it will have changed again. Coyle was backed in to 1/2 late on Tuesday evening.
Scottish firm mcbookie.com are expecting the Celtic board to go for someone who has the club in their blood, offering 1/2 that the new manager will have played for the team.
Tony Mowbray is out to 3s with layers after a million pound bounty was put on him. An outside bet could be Swansea gaffer Roberto Martinez who for me would be a ideal candidate. He has Swansea playing the kind of football Celtic fans demand – and on a shoestring budget. But he’s as big as 33/1 for the job.
Pope Benedict gets a 200/1 quote from Powers who have priced ex-Celts boss John Barnes even higher at 250/1. Now that’s funny.
Meanwhile Gordon Strachan gets a 2/1 quote to be in charge of Sunderland next season with Steve Bruce the 8/13 favourite.
What a bad lot Newcastle United where last season and if Alan Shearer takes over he will need to start all over again with this team.
They are 9/2 with Sean Grahams to bounce back to the Premier League in style by winning the Championship in 2010. Champions Man Utd are the 10/11 favourites to hold on their title next season while runners-up Liverpool are 100/30 to win the league next season. Chelsea are 4/1, Arsenal are 10/1, Manchester City are 50/1 and it's 100/1 bar those five, but expect these markets to change over the course of the summer.
Double result punter cleans up
ROSSA punter Peter McCormack at last had something to smile a few weekends back when he touched for a lovely football bet.
Peter placed a £2 treble as he follows the Punters Guide motto – bet small, win big. It certainly paid off for the Rossa man.
He loves betting on the double result and his first selection was Bolton to be winning at half-time against Hull and a draw at full and that’s exactly how it finished at odds of 12/1 – a great start.
Next selection down was something similar with Middlesbrough to be winning at half-time and a draw at full-time and that’s exactly how it panned out, again at 12/1. Two up, one to go.
Peter now had a hefty £312 riding on his last selection and he changed his system in the last one, taking Stoke to be drawing at half-time but to be winning at full-time and two late goals secured Peter’s bet. He picked up £1,560 from the bet and apparrently bought a round in the Rossa, although those rumours have yet to be confirmed
Fair play to Peter, though – what a bet!

as much as i would love to see them win i just can't see everton beating chelsea. as everton usually do thwy will make it hard for chelsea to break them down but i'm going for Lampard and 2-0 to chelsea.

Legendary Irish racehorse trainer Vincent O'Brien has died aged 92.
He trained three Grand National winners, and his steeplechaser Cottage Rake won the Cheltenham Gold Cup three times between 1948 and 1950.
He then concentrated on flat racing, and won the Epsom Derby on six occasions between 1962 and 1982.
During the 1970s, he and owner Robert Sangster, along with O'Brien's son-in-law John Magnier, established the Coolmore syndicate in County Tipperary
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Tony Adams is the new celtic manager!!!!
ha ha ha ha! what a joke!!! John reid has did that for badness. Dermot desmond has seriously misjudged the celtic fans if he thinks he'll get away with that. Rangers will be laffing their plums off.I predict he wont last 3 months
sore ribs from laffin
sore ribs from bending over too much and letting your brother bang you ya mean.
ya big gay bastard
why so aggressive??? I take it you think Adams is a good choice then going by your remarks. Your in the minority. Not one of my mates, who are season ticket holders, want him. I aint anti-celtic, iv been in parkhead more times than you've got your hole, and enjoyed both times. Let me guess, your about 23, barcode moustache, wear Henry Llyod, have a nickname that ends in 'ers' or 'o',and your knowledge of celtic is the same as your IQ.

Long Term Celtic Fan here, never wanted Strachan to take over and wanted him out from day 1. Celtic needs to be bought out by some buisnessman with more money than sense. Tony Adams is not taking over the job his claims were unfounded and Celtic have already dismissed his words as nonsense. Only takes a few minutes searching on the net to find that out.
Now back to the betting lads and stop the needless bickering your not 12 year olds anymore or are you?
lucky brew bum
oh and wb audere where did you go? on holiday?

Wigan are in talks with Swansea boss Roberto Martinez and have already agreed a compensation package with the Swans!!
MR LU looks the NAG for us today
Oaks and Derby double.....
My Oaks selection is MIDDAY. I am very reluctant to back against Rainbow View as I don't believe we seen her true colours in the Guineas and she is the main danger but Midday is in top form, as is Henry Cecil
My Derby selection is SEA THE STARS. I backed him to win the Guineas which he did but stamina was always going to be this horses strong point and I can see him landing what looks to be not the best Derby on paper. For me Rip Van Winkle is the danger. He was staying on behind the selection in the Guineas after finding traffic and he will like the step up in trip.
