Irish national glory looms for DRUMCOVNIS

We have a run of Nationals now after the main one and we have the Irish equivalent today which is quickly followed next Saturday with the Scottish Grand.
Looking back at last weekends English National and quite a few local punters where quids in on Saturday after backing 100-1 Mon Mome. Grahams report hefty bets ranging from £5 each-way to one Grosvenor Road punter who had £50 each-way on it - sunshine holiday on the horizion for that punter.
The same firm where also where hit with fifth placed CERIUM who was on offer at 500/1 in the morning and one shrewd Anderstown punter had £5 each-way on which gave her a 125/1 winer. Grahams will also go first FIVE in this Monday’s Irish National which will have punters flocking to their shops on Monday.
Local punter and part-time printer, Tony Devlin was left cursing himself after missing out on the National winner.
He won a £100 free bet in the Sean Grahams branch on the Whiterock and after a day-long on studying and asking people their opinions Tony turned to his son Conor for inspiration as the race time loomed.
Conor closed his eyes and his finger landed in Mom Mome - 66/1 tissue price and Tony thought it was too big and declined to back it because of the price and backed Butlers Cabin - the rest is history.
Tony would have picked up £10,000 if he had of went for his son’s selection and was left gutted, it wasn’t all bad news he did put a fiver on Mom Mome for Conor who scooped £500 - small conslolation.
No matter what had of won the race on Saturday bookmakers would have been quids-in, this is their biggest pay-day of the year and on Monday morni SHARES in Ladbrokes and William Hill rose following Mon Mome's Grand National success at odds of 100-1.
With bookmakers avoiding a rush of pay-outs, William Hill shares rose 3 percent to 202.5p and Ladbrokes followed suit, up almost 3 per cent to 207.75p - just goes to show that the BOOKIE never loses.
On to todays Irish National at Fairyhouse and let’s hope we can get the winner and recoup our weekemd losses.
Again we have it narrowed it down to four who we think will run a big race on Monday.
We start with our main hope and put DRUMCOVNIS (16/1) in our notebooks at the Cheltenham festival when finishing second to Tricky Trickster abnd the Tony Martin trained horse will be primed for this race and should be thereabouts.
Willie Mullins has a strong hand here and we like ARBOUR SUPREME (12/1) who although has run poorly in his last two outings but hacked up over course and distance at Christmas and the recent rain will help him come Monday.
Character Building (14/1) at last got his head in front at Cheltenham and if he turns on Monday the expect him to run a huge race.
Could there be another 100/1 shocker? We have went for TAWNIES who will love the ground and distance and he is as big as 100/1 and cracking ach-way value.
Sean Graham Bet: Emma Jane (10), Royal County Star (10), Notre Pere (11), Arbor Supreme (12), Butlers Cabin (14), Character Building (14), Dear Villez (16), Drumconvis (16), Garde Champetre (16),Patsy Hall (16), Pomme Tiepy (16), Rare Bob (16), Casey Jones (20), Idle Talk (20), Offshore Account (20), One Cool Cookie (20), According To John (25), Air Force One (25) - Others 25 or more
