A couple of bets to mention this week and we start with the Hannahstown punter who took Sean Grahams for nine big ones after Ireland completed the Grand Slam on Saturday night.
The big-hitting punter placed a grand at the end of January with Grahams at odds of 9/1 for the Irish to break that 61-year hoodoo. What must he have been thinking when Stephen Jones stepped up for that last-gasp 50-metre penalty – nerve-jangling or what? Celebrations all round for our Hannahstown punter and good luck to him.
The PG’s punting pal Jim McVeigh hit the same firm on Saturday with an absolutely cracking £20 treble on the football. He boldly predicted wins for FULHAM 13/2, STOKE 7/5 and SPURS 3/1. Jim had to wait for the late kick-off at White Hart Lane but it was worth the wait as he picked up £1,440 for his troubles.
Take it for your courage, son.
