Punter doubles up with correct score bet

Bet of the Week

MY OUL’ da used tell me about an old punting mate he knew from years back who would only bet correct scores on the football. His mate’s bet was simple – a £2 treble on three matches, and he always took 3-1.
The bet would only touch every other Lent but when it did touch he took the bookie for well over a few grand every time. It’s the type of bet that when it touches it pays for itself for a very long time.
A local punter does the same correct score bet every week, and up until two weekends back the punter in question hadn’t got near the bet this season. And then it was like a Glen Road bus – once one comes, so does another.
He perms his correct scores all in trebles and puts them down for 50p – the perm is 27 times for three correct scores in each game so the total outlay for this bet is £13.50 with all scores either 2-1, 1-2 or 2-2.
Last week in his perm he had Scunthorpe to win 2-1, Brighton to win 2-1 and Ayr to draw 2-2 – off his 50p treble our punter picked up £1,072.50, the season’s bets paid for and a few quid banked.
Then at the weekend, bang! Our punter hit the jackpot again, this time he had Nottingham Forest to draw 2-2, Ross County to draw 2-2 and Dundee to win 2-1.
He picked up another £1,1072.50 for his troubles and has tempted me to do the same bet this weekend – you never know!

You have take a chance and as I said Villa's luck has to run out - half the Villa team played for England against Spain last night and will be worst for wear after that humiliation. That said, I think Everton are a solid bet at the weekend Mackers
