  6. A footballer who got red-carded four times in one match has been banned for two years.

Ricky Broadley of Mountain Rangers received the cards in the course of a Caernarfon district league cup match against Penrhyndeudraeth.

The 29-year-old was sent off for stamping on an opponent in the course of a 64th minute brawl on the pitch as his side trailed 2-0. He went on to receive further red cards for first arguing with the referee, then throwing water over him, and finally confronting him angrily in the clubhouse following the match.

Broadley, a former Bangor City striker, was also hit with a £75 fine by the North Wales Coast FA.

It is not the first time he has been in hot water with footballing authorities: Broadley has previously been banned for life from playing Sunday League football, and he was lucky to escape the same sanction this time around

The player - who had received one red and three yellow cards in his previous 10 matches with Mountain Rangers - claimed he had been punched and put in a headlock before the stamping incident. His club had already confirmed that he will not be playing for them again.

Referee John Owen sent off three other players during the match, which finished 3-0 to Penrhyndeudraeth.

  14. Thanks PG.
You just won me £20 in the Royal Canteen.

I bet the lads yesterday lunchtime that you would nap Utd to lose or draw against everton and you would have an everton photo in.

    Somethings never change eh?

Keep up the good work of napping utd to draw or lose.It seems to be doing them harm. They have only won the league the last 3 years.

  17. Lads, get with the programme, you should know by now that PG never tips man u to win.Its either hatred of Utd or stubborness but its definately not footballing knowledge.

Anyway,Porto must have been the bet of the month against a very poor Arsenal side.Sol Campbell is not good enough for the champiopnship never mind the champions league. What is Wenger thinking?

Time for Wenger to go maybe?

    I think so!

  20. fook PG, don't you just hate these bunch of follow the crowd man utd supporters who have no sense and jump on the bandwagon
where the fook where they in the 70s and 80s
keep tipping against them and hopefully toffee pudding come Saturday
ever watch a match with them they slate every player when it's not going well and when Rooney signed 70% of them thought he was a waste of money
keane was right about the prawn sandwiches.
one last rant - I would pay to watch Arsenal over any team - bar the world champs Barca who are the dogs bollocks as well we seen in the most one-sided Champions League final in years

you call yourself a barcelona supporter?
    where does this come from?
most people support a team because their fathers uncles brothers grandparents support them
or because it was the first team they went to watch as a youngster!

    doubt this is your case!

maybe you have just started supprting them recently because of the attractive football they play!
in what way do you actually "SUPPORT" your beloved barcelona?
by sitting on your fat hole watching them on tv, wise up pal!

keep the red flag flying high
